Robert Sheridan Principal and Chief Executive Officer

With more than 30 years of experience as a multi-family real estate developer and investor, Robert Sheridan is one of the industry’s most experienced and influential figures and a recognized pioneer in the field of apartment-to-condominium conversions.

Sheridan founded his namesake company, Robert Sheridan & Partners®, in 1977. Since then, the firm has overseen more than 30 condominium conversions totaling more than 8,000 units. It has found success in new markets and in both good and bad economic climates. In the process, Robert Sheridan & Partners has grown to become one of the most trusted and respected multi-family real estate development and investment companies in the country.

Sheridan managed his first conversions in Chicago, following the acquisition of several prominent apartment properties, including 1000 Lake Shore Plaza and the historic Benjamin Marshall-designed 1550 North State Parkway. On the heels of these and other high-profile successes in Chicago, Robert Sheridan & Partners transplanted the condominium conversion concept to other regions of the country. Through the years, the firm has acquired and converted properties in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Knoxville, New York City and Florida’s east and west coastal cities. Most recently, the company completed two conversions in the Phoenix, AZ area, the second of which stands as one of the area’s very few successful condominium conversions since October 2005.

Sheridan was a founding member of the National Multi Housing Council (NMHC), serving as its co-chairman from 1981 to 1985. He served on its board for more than a decade. He is a frequent speaker and panelist at real estate industry conferences around the country, most recently as an expert in distressed residential property. Sheridan is also frequently tapped by the local and national press to comment on real estate issues.

Sheridan and his wife, Karen, live in River Forest, Illinois.
